My back porch garden.

So far I have spent most of my day planting the new flowers that I bought while running my Monday morning errands. I love having a back porch garden and all of the beautiful flowers that come from it. Headed out to go bowling with friends this afternoon. Today is wonderful!

So many amazing things going on for me right now with one of the most exciting being that I just got an internship for next fall (!!!!) and I start school in August! I cannot wait to head back to school but I'm a bit anxious about balancing class, work, homework and photography. I'm sure I can do it though. I'll work as hard as I possibly can to succeed at what I love. We are headed to Charleston this weekend for our first wedding of the season. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the bride and groom so I'm really looking forward to their "big day"! Todays post is really about some awesome new songs that I've been listening to and I thought a photo (from my trip to Utah) would be nice too. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. NASCAR

Well, I went to Darlington (the track "too tough to tame") last Saturday for a little NASCAR excitement and took the A2 + a roll of Kodak Gold with me. I don't actually pay that much attention to NASCAR and probably would never watch a race on television but in person NASCAR is very exciting. My dad got some tickets a few years back from Dupont so I've always cheered for their driver, Jeff Gordon but this has not been a good year for him. Even though my pick didn't do much winning (or driving for that matter) we still had a great time with friends. I'll definitely go back next year.

Happy Mother's Day!

I have the absolute best mom in the whole world. I know everyone thinks that their mom is the best but I really feel like my mom is extra special. If you know her, you get what I'm trying to say. Am I right? I got a bit creative this year and made my mom a photo book of pictures starting on the day I was born until now. I knew that she would like the book but when she busted out crying in the car, I knew it was a homerun! YES!!! I won't include the text from the book because I don't want everyone crying but here are some of my favorite pics of us together. I Love You, Mom!!!

I almost forgot- THE HUNGER GAMES!!!!

Ok, so like everyone else in the entire world (except for those people who aren't), I am obsessed with The Hunger Games. I don't want to come across all "I read them before they were cool" but I totally did so...yeah. When I first heard that The Hunger Games would be made into a movie, I got all squealy and pretty much stayed that way until me, HeyMatthew (also obsessed with HG), my friend Amanda (more obsessed with HG than HeyMatthew, equally as obsessed as I am) and Amanda's husband Jacob (not at all obsessed with HG in any way...until now? We may have converted him.) went to see the movie! AGHHHHH!!!!!! It was sooo fun! Amanda borrowed t-shirts from a friend (thanks Vanessa!) so we wore those and we also had mockingjay pins, keychains, official Hunger Games necklaces and custom bead bracelets. So, here we are all decked out and excited! Sidenote- I cannot believe I went so long without realizing that there is a "sparkly text" option in photobucket. Awesome!! (Dear clients that I have booked for the summer, I will not do this with your photos. Do not cancel our sessions!)

Doesn't it look like we had the most fun ever?!?! Well, that's because we did! I was a little upset about the bread thing not being included and the issue with the pin...(trying hard not to be a spoiler)...but other than that I really loved the movie. Read it! Go see it! Love it! FOR RUE!!!!! Jb

Water & Light

There is nothing more beautiful than water and light. I could have stood and watched the drops fall all night long. I'm so thankful for this...and for my backyard... and for a perfect evening. Jb

I miss you, vacation!

Animal Kingdom was amazing! We went on a Safari and watched Finding Nemo Live and ate delicious food from "different countries" (eggrolls) and had ourselves a blast! I've been back from Florida for two days and a lot of things went undone while I was gone so there hasn't been much recovery time. I always think I'm going to have this relaxing week after vacation to do laundry and clean up a bit but that has not been the case. Laundry, you must wait another week! :) I'll be back soon with some actual photo work... Now that the trees are green, I'm back to shooting! Hope everyone is wonderful. Jb
